Expertly Curated Targeted Panels
Our proprietary chemistry is based on a targeted probe hybridization technology and uses quantitative nuclease protection chemistry to detect RNA species of approximately 50 nucleotides. HTG’s gene expression panels measure mRNA and miRNA transcriptome and leverage the sensitivity and dynamic range of NGS to help you generate the right data for your research.
Accurate Target Quantification
The probes in the HTG panels target a single location of each RNA transcript. This results in a single probe sequence for each RNA transcript (1:1) present in the sample. The counts, therefore, are proportional to the number of transcripts in the sample and, unlike RNA-Seq, normalization by transcript length is not required.
High Sensitivity Assay
The HTG gene expression panel’s simplified workflow provides robust analysis and high sensitivity for low expressing genes. The targeted chemistry only generates information for specific transcripts in a sample, meaning fewer reads are used up on sequencing RNAs of little or no interest. The extraction free sample preparation ensures that short or fragmented RNAs normally removed during RNA extraction are instead measured.
