Research solutions for COVID-19

HTG molecular Diagnostics is committed to advancing the scientific understanding of the impact of the coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 and subsequent disease on human health worldwide. As a leader in Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) based gene expression profiling (GEP), we want to support our customers as they shift their work to address urgent needs around therapeutic and vaccine development through investigation of the body’s response to viral pathogenesis.

HTG offers multiple panels to support research investigating gene expression in response to SARS-CoV-2 infection, covering both mRNA and miRNA profiling.

HTG Panels for Sars-Cov-2

mRNA Profiling with the HTG AutoImmune Panel

The panel is a targeted gene expression profiling tool that contains 2,002 probes designed to identify genes involved in the body’s immune response to disease. This panel is equally suited to evaluate gene expression in response to autoimmune disease as it is to bacterial and viral infection, including infection from SARS-CoV-2 and the resulting COVID-19 disease.

  • Evaluate pathways, processes, and cell types involved in disease, including immune system and cytokine dysregulation in response to pathogenic infection.
  • Identify candidate targets involved in transcription, metabolism and viral defense
  • Discover and validate disease- and therapeutic- specific biomarkers
  • Measure responses to drug and immune therapy
  • Elucidate therapeutic mechanism of action or validate drug targets
  • Develop predictive signatures of infection and drug response
  • Moure coverage than naostrings

Quality control metrics

Assesses several key assay performance metrics to determine the quality of the data produced or detect technical errors in an HTG EdgeSeq run

Principle components analysis

PCA is widely used to emphasize variation and capture strong patterns in a data set; it is an exploratory tool used to analyze data; make predictive models and to visualize relatedness between populations.

hourglassCreated with Sketch.

Differential expression

The box plot allows quick graphical examination of one or more data sets; particularly useful for comparing distributions between several groups or sets of data. If higher variation is visible in one group this will diminish statistical significance but may indicate an important biological process
(differential variability).

Volcano plots

A volcano plot is used to quickly identify meaningful changes between two conditions in large data sets.
